Questions, Answered Softly

The small things you might wonder.

Who is the journal for?

New parents, expecting parents, grandparents, and anyone gifting a keepsake for a baby's first year.

Is it made for Indian families?

Yes, from the first page. There are spreads for naamkaran, annaprashan and first festivals like Diwali, alongside the universal firsts: smile, tooth, word, step.

When should I start writing in it?

Whenever you're ready. Many families start during pregnancy; others begin the night they bring baby home. There's no wrong page to start on.

Is the paper safe for photos and ink?

Yes. The pages are thick art paper, made to hold ink, pencil and small photo prints.

What if I miss a few weeks?

Nothing is lost. There is no schedule to keep. Come back whenever you can, and fill a page for the day you remember.

Is it only for the first year?

The journal is made for the first year, from before your baby arrives to the first birthday. It is the year that changes fastest and fades quickest.

Can I use it for twins, or a second child?

Each journal is written for one child, so their story stays their own. For twins or a sibling, many families keep one journal each.

Do you ship across India?

Yes, and we're working on international shipping. Each journal is packed by hand.

What if it arrives damaged?

Write to us with a photo and we will make it right. This is a keepsake, and it should reach you perfect.

Can I buy it as a gift?

Yes. It arrives in a printed band and a simple box, ready to give as it is. A personalized edition, with a name and a short dedication, is coming soon.
